Premier League sides have reportedly strengthen the chase for Club Brugge’s Nigerian midfielder, Raphael Onyedika, putting Turkish giants Galatasaray’s plans in jeopardy, as per Soccernet.NG.
The 22-year-old, who has become a pivotal figure for the Belgian club since his arrival in 2022, is attracting interest from across Europe following a series of impressive performances, including a standout two-goal match against Anderlecht.
Having snubbed offers from top clubs including AC Milan to join Brugge from FC Midtjylland for €10 million. Now, despite the performances, Onyedika’s stock has slightly decreased. Transfermarkt estimates his current value at €8 million. Club Brugge, for their part, are not in a hurry to sell but are open to negotiations, with a figure of at least €15 million expected for the midfielder who is contracted until 2027.
With 79 appearances under his belt, contributing three goals and two assists for the Belgian club, the Nigerian international has demonstrated his capabilities in central midfield, catching the eye of several clubs with his long-range striking ability.
Reports indicate that the Turkish giants Galatasaray, who have been long-time admirers of Onyedika, now face stiff competition from English clubs, with Everton, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest all prepared to enter a bidding war for his services.
As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Onyedika’s next move. Will he opt for the competitive English Premier League, or will Galatasaray manage to secure his signature?
