Borussia Dortmund German-Nigerian winger Karim Adeyemi has parted ways with his agent as speculation about a potential summer transfer intensifies, Goal reports.
According to several sources, Adeyemi is attracting interest from several unnamed English clubs, and Dortmund is prepared to sell if the “price is right.” Adeyemi, 22, has struggled for consistent playing time this season, starting only 10 Bundesliga matches and contributing three goals and one assist.
He joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2022 for around €34 million and is under contract until 2027. Despite a promising debut season with six goals and five assists in 20 starts, Adeyemi has not managed to replicate that form.
In the lead-up to the Champions League final against Real Madrid, Los Blancos’ coach Carlo Ancelotti identified Adeyemi as a significant threat due to his speed and transition play. “They are very quick in transitions with [Jadon] Sancho and Adeyemi,” Ancelotti noted.
Following the Champions League final, Adeyemi will have time to weigh his options, as he has not been included in Julian Nagelsmann’s provisional Germany squad for Euro 2024. His next move could see him in the Premier League if the right offer comes in.
