The Turkish club from Trabzon has come to understanding with Paul Onuachu regrading the news contract, but has yet to finalize terms with the player’s parent club Southampton according to Fanatik.
Onuachu, who had an impressive loan stint with Trabzonspor last season, contributed significantly with 21 goal involvements (17 goals, 4 assists) in 25 matches, aiding the team to secure a third-place finish in the Turkish Super Lig.

The forward, who started his career at FC Ebedei, has expressed a strong desire to return to Trabzonspor for the upcoming season, turning down multiple offers from other clubs in the process.
Though linked with potential moves to Göztepe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, and Fenerbahçe, Onuachu remains focused on rejoining Trabzonspor. The sticking point is Southampton’s demand for a minimum of nine million euros for a permanent transfer. Trabzonspor, on the other hand, is pushing for a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
Onuachu is keenly awaiting an agreement between Southampton and Trabzonspor before the 2024-2025 season kicks off. Having joined Southampton from Racing Genk in January 2023, he is contracted with the Premier League side until June 2026.
