Reports claimed the Nigerian forward was declared surplus to requirements at the French Ligue 1 club, potentially paving the way for a move to Brazilian Serie A’s Botafogo or Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids. However, these speculations have been firmly denied by sources close to the player.
