A Europa League club is reportedly considering a short-term loan deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who has been frozen out at Napoli, according to Nigerian broadcast journalist Buchi Laba.
Osimhen’s situation in Naples has been fraught with tension since a high-profile transfer saga during the 2024 summer window fell through, leaving his future uncertain. The Serie A side has yet to reintegrate the forward into their first-team plans, further complicating his situation.

Chelsea, who were involved in unsuccessful negotiations over Osimhen in the summer, are now leading the race to sign the striker in January. Reports from Nigerian journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, also known as Buchi Laba, suggest that Chelsea has already reached a personal agreement with Osimhen and is keen to finalize the deal quickly.
