The Ukrainian Premier League club has bolstered its squad with the signing of 20-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper Chijioke Kingsley Aniagboso, as per the Chernomorets official website.
The young talent joins the Ukrainian side after stints with Nigerian club Giant Brillars and Ukrainian teams Polissya Zhytomyr and Zviahel. The financial details remain undisclosed, but Transfermarkt estimates the goalkeepers current value at €100,000.
Aniagboso, who stands at an imposing 1.93 meters, has already made a mark on the international stage, representing Nigeria’s U-20 team in 11 matches, including the 2023 U-20 FIFA World Cup, where Nigeria reached the quarterfinals. He was also instrumental in Nigeria’s third-place finish at the 2023 U-20 AFCON, even captaining the side in several games.
In his move to Chornomorets, Aniagboso will wear the number 12 jersey, continuing his journey in Ukrainian football after his recent transfer from Polissya. His signing comes as part of an active transfer window for Chernomorets, who aim to strengthen their squad following a challenging start to the season
