Nigerian striker Gift Orban has officially joined German club Hoffenheim in a transfer worth €9 million from Olympique Lyonnais (OL), as per the French club’s official website.
The deal includes potential bonuses of up to €3 million and a 7.5% profit share on any future transfers. The deal seems fairly reasonable — Transfermarkt estimates the player’s current value at €10 million.

Orban, 22, joined Lyon in January 2024 from Belgian club Genk. In his time at the French club, he made 21 appearances and scored five goals, including a standout performance with a match-winning brace in a 4-3 victory against Strasbourg.
