Nigerian winger Suleman Sani has completed a move from RB Leipzig to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah in a deal reportedly worth up to €8m.
The 20-year-old leaves Leipzig just six months after joining the Bundesliga club from Slovakian side AS Trenčín, having failed to make a competitive appearance for the German team.
Sani completed the transfer on Sunday, 6 September, the final day of the Saudi transfer window. He is expected to sign a three-year contract with the option of a further season.
The Nigeria youth international joined Leipzig for about €5m in January after impressing at Trenčín, where he scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in 59 competitive appearances.
However, injuries and competition for places limited his opportunities in Germany. Sani trained with Leipzig’s Under-19 side during pre-season and was not included in the squad for their opening Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
His move to Al-Qadsiah provides an opportunity for regular senior football, with the Saudi club having finished fourth in the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League under manager Brendan Rodgers.
The transfer is also expected to represent a profit for Leipzig, who could receive up to €8m for a player they signed for around €5m.
Sani will now look to revive his career in Saudi Arabia after an unexpectedly short spell in German football.
