Turkish journalist Ahmet Selim Kul has reported Fenerbahce’s interest, although no formal approach has been confirmed. The Istanbul club would also need to free up a place in their foreign-player quota before pursuing a deal.
Iheanacho has been in outstanding form since joining Bursaspor from Celtic as a free agent in the summer, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in 12 league appearances. His scoring run has helped the club move top of the Turkish second division.
Çelik has made it clear that Bursaspor have no intention of allowing their leading striker to leave cheaply.
“If a poll were held, I am certain that 99% of the people would vote for him not to be sold,” the president said. “He does not want to leave us, but he knows how football works. The fee would have to be a figure that makes it worth it for us.”
Iheanacho is under contract until June 2029, putting Bursaspor in a strong negotiating position ahead of the winter transfer window.
The 30-year-old’s performances have attracted attention as he leads Bursaspor’s promotion challenge, but Fenerbahce may need to resolve their squad restrictions and meet the club’s valuation to secure his signature.
