Bangladesh Premier League side Fortis FC has completed the signing of Nigerian striker Ifeagwu Ojukwu for the remainder of the season, Kick Off Nigeria reports.
The 28-year-old forward joins Fortis FC from Chittagong Abahani Limited, where he spent four years. This move makes Ojukwu the first Nigerian-born player to represent the Fortis Warriors in recent times.
Ojukwu Set for a New Challenge in Bangladesh
Having passed the club’s medical tests and completed all necessary paperwork, the bullish Nigerian striker is expected to be officially unveiled in the coming days.
The Nigerian forward, whose current value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €100,000, began his football journey at Westerlo Football Academy in his hometown Lagos, Nigeria. He later transitioned to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), where he played for over seven years with multiple top clubs, starting with Ikorodu United.
Ojukwu’s Experience in the Bangladesh Premier League
In 2022, Ojukwu made his first move outside Nigeria, signing for a Bangladesh Premier League club. He later joined Dhaka Abahani on loan but returned to his parent club after just one month.
Now, at Fortis FC, the experienced striker aims to make a significant impact in the Bangladeshi top-flight league.
