Bayern Munich sent officials to monitor Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen during Galatasaray’s 5-2 Champions League victory against Juventus, as the Bundesliga side step up plans to reshape their attack.
The German champions are assessing long-term striker options ahead of the summer transfer window, with Osimhen among the high-profile names under consideration.
Why Bayern Munich are tracking Osimhen
While Harry Kane remains Bayern’s first-choice centre-forward, the club are understood to be planning for the future beyond the England captain. Kane, 32, continues to deliver goals at elite level, but Bayern’s recruitment team are exploring younger forwards capable of leading the press and sustaining intensity over the coming seasons.
Osimhen, who previously starred for Napoli and Lille OSC, has enhanced his reputation in Turkey with another prolific campaign. The 27-year-old, widely regarded as one of Europe’s most complete strikers, combines pace, aerial ability and defensive work-rate — attributes Bayern are keen to add to their forward line.
Champions League performance vs Juventus
Bayern scouts were present at RAMS Park as Galatasaray produced an emphatic 5-2 win over Juventus in the Champions League.
Although Osimhen did not score, he registered two assists and played a decisive role with his pressing and movement. His relentless pressure forced defensive mistakes that led directly to goals, underlining why Europe’s leading clubs continue to track his progress.
The result marked the first time a Turkish side have scored five goals against Juventus in Champions League competition.

Interest in the Nigeria international is not limited to Germany. Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona are also reported to be monitoring the situation ahead of the summer window.
Galatasaray are not actively seeking to sell, but any formal approach for Osimhen is expected to command a significant transfer fee — setting up what could become one of the standout striker sagas of the summer.
