Crawley Town Football Club has officially announced the acquisition of Huddersfield England-Nigerian defender Mustapha Olagunju on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 22-year-old, a product of the Huddersfield Youth Academy, embarked on his professional career with the Terriers in August 2019, signing a two-year deal. Mustapha Olagunju made a significant impact, earning his debut in January 2021 during an Emirates FA Cup clash against Plymouth Argyle. Subsequently, his talents were rewarded with a three-year contract, securing his stay at the Kirklees Stadium until the summer of 2024.
Olagunju, who has also showcased his skills with the Huddersfield B side, brings a wealth of experience, having enjoyed loan spells with Tadcaster Albion, Welling United, and Port Vale. Most recently, the promising defender was on loan at Ebbsfleet, where he made nine appearances.
Crawley Town FC is eager to integrate Mustapha Olagunju into their squad, and the loan signing adds depth and versatility to the team’s defensive lineup. The club looks forward to witnessing his contributions on the pitch during the remainder of the season
