Galatasaray SK, the reigning Süper Lig champions, have reportedly set their sights on Nigerian-born winger Nathan Tella as they look to strengthen their attack in the January transfer window, according to Turkish journalist Eyup Yildiz.
Turkish giants are considering a loan deal with an option to buy for the Bayer Leverkusen player.
Tella, 24, rose to prominence during a standout loan spell at Burnley in the 2022-23 season but has struggled for game time under Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen. His limited opportunities have affected his form and cost him a place in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad. A move to Galatasaray could offer the winger a chance to rejuvenate his career and regain his national team spot.

This development comes as Galatasaray continues to negotiate for Colombian playmaker Jhon Arias from Fluminense. While the club has submitted a €9 million offer, uncertainty over Fluminense’s response has prompted Galatasaray to line up Tella as a backup option.
The Turkish champions are keen to finalise one of these deals before the window closes, ensuring they remain competitive in domestic competitions and the Europa League.
