Bohemians 1905’s new Nigerian signing, Nelson Okeke, in en exclusive interview with Kick Off Nigeria has expressed his determination to break into the team and secure a starting place after completing a loan move from Sparta Prague.
The Nigerian midfielder, since joining the Prague-based team, has made a handful of appearances for Sparta Prague’s main squad despite spending a season sidelined by injury.
Speaking to Nigerian journalist Nwosu Chigozie, the 22-year-old reiterated his ambition to fight for a spot in the star-studded Bohemians 1905 first team.
“The idea behind my loan is to get quality playing time in the first league, and that is now my focus,” he stated after signing for Bohemians 1905.
“I’m delighted to have signed for this great club, and this is where the work begins. I dream of being a key player for the Bohemians 1905 team, and I cannot wait to get started,” the soft-spoken midfielder concluded.
Dubbed the “Nigerian Pogba,” the energetic midfielder has made 15 appearances this season in the Czech National League, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
With his recent loan move, Nelson Okeke becomes the second Nigerian player on the books of Bohemians 1905.
