According to sources, who are unauthorised to speak publicly, the Gran Canaria club has officially made a move to sign Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho from Sevilla FC in the upcoming January transfer window, Africa Foot reports.
Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla in July, has struggled to find consistent form in his debut season, making 11 appearances and scoring three goals. With limited impact at the Andalusian club, a winter transfer could provide the 27-year-old international—who has 55 caps and 15 goals for Nigeria—a chance to revive his season.

Las Palmas, which has been monitoring Iheanacho for some time, has submitted a loan offer to secure the striker’s services for the remainder of the current season. The proposal could allow Iheanacho to gain regular playing time while strengthening Las Palmas’ attacking options.
Further updates on the potential transfer are expected as the January window approaches.
