Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Norrköping are on the verge of completing the signing of Nigerian goalkeeper Osayi Kingdom from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) giants Rangers International, Kick Off Nigeria reports.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper is currently in Sweden and has already featured in test games for IFK Norrköping while awaiting his official unveiling by the club.
Kingdom began his professional career with FC Heartland before moving to Giant Brillers in the 2019/2020 season on a free transfer. He continued his development at Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC (MFM FC), where he joined ahead of the 2020/2021 season, also on a free move.
In 2022/2023, the 6ft goalkeeper signed with Doma United and extended his contract into the 2023/2024 season. After a brief stint abroad, Kingdom returned to Nigeria to join reigning NPFL champions Rangers International, where he is currently under contract until the end of 2025.
His potential move to IFK Norrköping marks a significant step in his career as he aims to make a mark in European football. The Swedish club is known for developing young talents, and Kingdom’s arrival could further strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the new campaign.
