The Nigerian midfielder Henry Okebugwu is on the verge of signing a one-year contract with Libyan Premier League club Al Bashaer, Kick Off Nigeria reports.
The midfielder, who is already in Libya, has completed the club’s routine medicals and has put pen to paper to join Al Bashaer for the current season.
The energetic Nigerian joins the Libyan side from Moldovan club FC Milsami Orhei on a free transfer.
With this move, Okebugwu becomes part of the growing number of Nigerian players competing in the Libyan top-flight league.
The 26-year-old midfielder has previously played for Futboll Klub Partizani (Albania), Turan Tovuz (Azerbaijan), and Klubi i Futbollit Iliria Fushë-Krujë (Albania).
