Nigerian forward Jesse Sekidika has resumed pre-season training with Azerbaijani club Sabah FC amid growing transfer speculation linking him to European clubs, Kick Off Nigeria reports.
Sekidika was a standout performer for Sabah FC last season, scoring 11 goals and playing a key role in the club’s triumph in the Azerbaijani Cup. His impressive form has attracted interest from other clubs in the Azerbaijani Premier League as well as teams across Europe.
The Nigerian winger signed a two-year contract with Sabah FC in 2023, with an option for a third year. Despite no contract extension currently in place, the striker has rejoined training with the rest of the squad amid ongoing interest from potential suitors.
Jesse Sekidika began his professional career with Serbian club FK Napredak Krusevac and has previously played for Eskisehirspor, Galatasaray, Konyaspor, Oud-Heverlee Leuven, Eyupspor, and Umraniyespor.
