The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains one of the hottest topics in the summer transfer window, with both Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly reigniting their interest in the Napoli forward.
Manchester United have reopened negotiations with Osimhen as the Premier League giants intensify their search for a proven No.9. The Super Eagles star spent last season on loan at Galatasaray but has not agreed to a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal despite a massive financial offer. A return to Napoli appears unlikely, prompting his camp to explore options in Europe.

Sources close to the player told Foot Mercato that discussions between Osimhen and United resumed recently, after initial talks were held in early May. The current proposal reportedly includes a salary package of €12 million per year for the striker and a €75 million deal—bonuses included—for Napoli.
Although Galatasaray are still pushing to retain the 25-year-old for another season, Manchester United’s renewed push could shift the narrative. The Red Devils continue to monitor alternative targets, including Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, but Osimhen remains their primary focus.
Meanwhile, a surprising twist has emerged from Chelsea. Turkish football expert Serdar Ali Çelikler, quoted by ChelsTransfer via neospor.tr, claims the Blues could also move for Osimhen. In a domino-style transfer strategy, Chelsea would then allow Nicolas Jackson to join Galatasaray, who are keen to keep a top striker in case Osimhen departs.

The move could dramatically reshape the attacking options at Stamford Bridge, potentially leaving the club with five senior strikers if Osimhen arrives. While financially complex, the deal underscores how highly rated Osimhen remains across Europe’s elite clubs.
As it stands, no agreement has been reached with any of the clubs involved, but the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining where one of Africa’s top forwards will play.
