Newly-crowned Greece Super League champions PAOK Thessaloniki are reportedly considering a move for Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho, according to Soccernet.NG.
Iheanacho made 23 appearances for Leicester City in the Championship this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist, aiding the Foxes’ promotion to the Premier League.
Iheanacho’s playing time significantly decreased after his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, featuring only four appearances in the league. With his contract expiring on June 30, Iheanacho is set to become a free agent, attracting interest from several clubs, including some in Turkey and the Premier League, such as Aston Villa.

PAOK Thessaloniki, having just secured the Greek Super League title, are keen to bolster their squad for a strong European campaign next season. The club is particularly motivated after rivals Olympiakos clinched the Europa Conference League, marking a historic first continental club competition win for any Greek team.
Iheanacho, 27, joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2017 and has established himself as a reliable goal threat in the Premier League, amassing 42 goals and 25 assists in 196 appearances.
He also boasts an impressive record in the FA Cup, with 18 goals and three assists in 25 matches, and was part of the Leicester squad that won the trophy in 2021.
While PAOK’s interest is clear, it is believed that Iheanacho prefers to remain in England to continue competing in the Premier League. His decision will likely depend on the offers he receives and his desire to maintain his presence in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
