Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly scaled back their interest in Napoli’s star striker Victor Osimhen, according to L’Equipe.
The Nigerian forward, valued at approximately €130 million, had been linked with a move to the French champions following an injury to Gonçalo Ramos.
Ramos suffered an ankle injury during PSG’s Ligue 1 opener against Le Havre last Friday, forcing him off the pitch in the 20th minute. With the Portuguese striker expected to be sidelined for around three months, PSG were rumored to be seeking a replacement, reigniting speculation about Osimhen joining the club.
However, the latest reports suggest that PSG is unlikely to pursue the Napoli forward before the transfer window closes. The club is expected to explore internal options to cover for Ramos’ absence before considering a new signing.

This shift in PSG’s stance may present an opportunity for Chelsea, who remain interested in acquiring Osimhen. The London club’s need for a prolific striker became more pressing after their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in their Premier League opener, where they squandered several scoring chances.
