Saudi Pro League team Al-Okhdood has entered the competition with Trabzonspor to secure the services of Paul Onuachu, as per Turkish media outlet NTV Spor.
The Saudi club is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Onuachu, having had successful negotiations with Southampton. Last season, Al-Okhdood narrowly avoided relegation, partly due to their inefficiency in attack. They are keen to bolster their offensive options by bringing in the towering striker.
Onuachu, 30, enjoyed an impressive season in Turkey’s top league, not only shining for Trabzonspor but also emerging as one of the standout players in the competition. He has expressed a desire to continue his career with Trabzonspor.

While Onuachu has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Trabzonspor, the club has faced difficulties in reaching a financial agreement with Southampton. Initially, the English club demanded €15 million for the Nigerian, but they have since lowered the asking price to €10 million. Despite the reduction, Trabzonspor is still finding it challenging to meet this valuation.
Trabzonspor currently holds an edge due to Onuachu’s preference to remain with them, but they need to expedite their negotiations with Southampton to finalize the transfer before Al-Okhdood can secure the player
