Stade Rennais are reportedly considering a summer move for Nigerian winger Moses Simon, who remains a key figure at FC Nantes. According to Ouest-France, the Ligue 1 club is closely monitoring the 29-year-old ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Rennes are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer, and Simon’s profile is seen as both effective and affordable. Valued at €12 million by Transfermarkt, the Super Eagles international currently earns €2.4 million per year at Nantes, making him one of the more financially accessible targets.
Simon has been a standout performer for Nantes this season, recording seven goals and nine assists in 31 appearances across Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France. Since joining the club in 2020, he has made 199 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 39 assists.
Meanwhile, former Super Eagles captain and Everton legend Joseph Yobo has urged Simon to pursue a long-awaited move to the English Premier League if he decides to leave FC Nantes this summer.
