Everton has signed 20-year-old central midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee, as per the Toffees official website.
The England youth international of Nigerian descent has agreed to a three-year deal, keeping him at the club until June 2027.
Iroegbunam, who has represented England at the Under-20 level, becomes Everton’s first summer signing. He will join his new teammates when Sean Dyche’s side reports back to Finch Farm for the start of pre-season next month.
Known for his athleticism and combative play, Iroegbunam enjoyed a standout loan spell at QPR during the 2022/23 season, making 32 league appearances and scoring two goals. He returned to Aston Villa last season, contributing to their fourth-place finish and making his European competition debut in the Europa Conference League.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Iroegbunam told Everton TV:
“Everton is an amazing club, a big club and I’m just really happy to join. I can’t wait to get started and show what I can bring to this club.”
The midfielder, who holds dual citizenship of Great Britain and Nigeria, is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €4 million.
