Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has secured his future with Watford FC by signing a new two-year contract, with an option for an additional 12 months, as per the club’s official website.
The 24-year-old central midfielder, who occasionally filled in at right-back last season, has been a key player for the Hornets since joining from Manchester City in 2019. According to Transfermarkt his current matrket value is estimated at €1,2 million.
Dele-Bashiru made 38 appearances and scored three goals in the 2023-24 campaign, demonstrating his versatility and importance to the squad. Despite an ACL injury in the 2020/21 season and a subsequent loan to Reading where he regained fitness and form, Dele-Bashiru has bounced back to become a vital part of Watford’s team.
