Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan has confirmed that the club cannot meet Southampton’s €15 million asking price for 30-year-old striker Paul Onuachu, as per NTV Spor.
Onuachu, who impressed during a loan spell last season by finishing as the club’s top scorer and securing a third-place finish in the Super Lig, is wanted by Trabzonspor on a permanent deal.

However, the Turkish side has only offered €8 million plus bonuses, a bid Southampton has rejected.
“We cannot pay €15 million for a 30-year-old player,” Doğan told NTV Spor. “If he were younger, we might consider it, but this isn’t feasible.”
Despite the stalled negotiations, Doğan remains hopeful that a deal can be reached before the Turkish transfer window closes.
The team has struggled without Onuachu, failing to score in their opening league matches and missing out on European competitions.
