Nigerian forward Yenne Tenton says he is ready to “rewrite history” after joining newly promoted Russian Premier League side FC Baltika Kaliningrad.
Speaking to Footy-Africa, the 24-year-old revealed that the move was inspired by the competitiveness of Russian football and his desire for a fresh challenge, despite receiving offers from top clubs in Belgium, Poland, Israel, and Greece.
“I feel so excited moving from one league to another, especially to the Russian Premier League,” said Tenton. “The league requires a lot of energy and mobility — that matches my style of play.”
Tenton arrives from Ararat-Armenia, where he scored 17 goals last season and became the club’s all-time top scorer while winning multiple trophies.
Now in Kaliningrad, the Nigerian forward is aiming to replicate his success and make his mark in Russian football.
