Stanley Nwabali could be set for a move to East Africa, with Simba Sports Club among the clubs showing firm interest in the Nigeria international goalkeeper, according to Footy-Africa.
Sources in the region indicate that Simba have made initial enquiries about the 28-year-old, who is currently a free agent after leaving Chippa United earlier this year.
East African-based agent Edgah Mitemah says the Tanzanian side are actively exploring goalkeeping options, with Nwabali emerging as a leading candidate.
“They are looking to strengthen in that position, and he is one of the names under consideration,” Mitemah said. “Given his experience and recent performances, he would be a strong addition to the league.”
Simba may not have a clear run at the player, however. Domestic rivals Azam FC are also understood to be monitoring the situation, while South African giants Kaizer Chiefs have retained a long-standing interest.

Nwabali has been without a club since February, when he mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Chippa United midway through the season. Despite reported links to clubs in Saudi Arabia and South Africa, a move has yet to materialise.
His stock rose significantly after impressing for Nigeria national football team at the recent Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria secured a third-place finish.
That tournament performance had been expected to trigger a move to a higher-profile league, but Nwabali instead finds himself weighing options as interest builds ahead of the new season.
With multiple clubs circling and no transfer fee required, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining the next step in his career.
