Market Value: Leading Despite a Decrease
After scoring 24 goals and assists in his debut season in Belgium, Victor Osimhen signed with Lille OSC, and his transfer fee increased 13-fold. Becoming a key player in France, the forward moved to Italy just one season later, and his transfer value more than tripled. Over three seasons at Napoli, Osimhen overcame injuries, became a crucial player, and won a championship, as well as the top scorer title in the 2022/2023 season.
During this time, his transfer value tripled, reaching its peak. However, the following season saw his goal contributions drop by almost half. After Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club, Osimhen lost his place in the squad, moving to the Turkish league, leading to a €20 million drop in his value. Currently, Transfermarkt.com values Osimhen at €100 million, still the highest among Galatasaray. players, Turkish Super Lig footballers, and Nigerian players.
