Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is expected to make a major decision on his future this summer after attracting interest from several European clubs following an impressive season in Italy, according to Footy-Africa.
The Nigerian midfielder, currently contracted to Inter Milan, has enhanced his reputation during a productive loan spell with Pisa SC, where his performances have reportedly sparked interest from Bologna FC 1909 and other clubs across Europe.
Pisa are understood to hold an option to sign the 21-year-old permanently at the end of the campaign, although Inter inserted a buy-back clause when they signed him from Remo Stars FC.
A permanent stay at Pisa remains possible, but sources close to the situation indicate that Akinsanmiro and his representatives are carefully assessing the next step of his career, with regular playing time and long-term development seen as key factors.
A return to Inter has also not been ruled out. However, competition for places in the club’s experienced midfield could influence whether the player remains in Milan for next season.
Akinsanmiro has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Italian football, making 22 league appearances — including 13 starts — and earning recognition as one of Nigeria’s emerging midfield talents.
His form also secured him a place in the Nigeria national football team squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The midfielder previously spent time at UC Sampdoria, where he worked under former Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo during an important stage of his development.
Speaking recently, Akinsanmiro’s agent Crescenzo Cecere confirmed that interest in the player is continuing to grow.
“He has developed well this season and many clubs are following him,” Cecere said. “There are several opportunities on the table, and the right decision will be made at the appropriate time.”
With multiple clubs tracking his progress and Inter still holding influence over his future, Akinsanmiro is emerging as one of the most closely watched Nigerian midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window.
