Victor Osimhen has once again become a key name in the transfer market, and Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make a significant move for the Nigerian striker this January, El Nacional reports.
According to multiple sources, the Premier League giants are readying an offer exceeding €60 million to secure Osimhen’s services, making him one of the standout potential signings of the winter transfer window.

Osimhen, 25, has reignited his career on loan at Galatasaray following a turbulent spell at Napoli. In just 13 appearances for the Turkish side, the forward has scored an impressive 10 goals, putting him back on the radar of Europe’s top clubs. While Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest, Manchester United seem determined to beat the competition and bring him to Old Trafford.
United, under the leadership of manager Rúben Amorim, are in desperate need of a reliable goal scorer. Currently sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, their attack has faltered, with neither Joshua Zirkzee nor Rasmus Højlund meeting expectations. Amorim views Osimhen as the ideal solution to revitalize the club’s offensive output and help turn their season around.
Napoli, meanwhile, appear open to negotiations. After finishing a disappointing 10th in Serie A last season, the Italian club is eager to reinvest the proceeds from Osimhen’s sale into rebuilding their squad. With a release clause close to €75 million, Napoli could use the funds to target key players like Patrick Dorgu, Jakub Kiwior, and Jacopo Fazzini.
Galatasaray, though enjoying Osimhen’s performances, lack the financial power to make his loan deal permanent, leaving the door open for a January move.
Should Manchester United finalize the deal, it would be a major coup for the struggling English club. However, the question remains whether Osimhen can adapt quickly to the demands of the Premier League and deliver the goals United desperately need to reclaim their place among Europe’s elite.
