The Red Devils are stepping up their efforts to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, reportedly offering Napoli a deal that includes Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee and cash, as per Fanatik.
This move comes as the Red Devils undergo a reshuffle under new manager Ruben Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag before the international break.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has long been linked to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Arsenal previously showing interest. However, Napoli’s high valuation kept him in Italy until his temporary move to Turkey. The 25-year-old has continued to impress, making him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.

Napoli have been firm in their stance, preferring a cash-only deal for Osimhen and valuing him at around €75 million. Manchester United’s proposed player-plus-cash offer may face resistance, especially from Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, who is known for tough negotiations.

While the move could transform United’s attack, the deal’s success depends on Napoli’s willingness to compromise and the resolution of Osimhen’s loan agreement with Galatasaray. For now, the Nigerian star remains a top priority for Amorim as he seeks to revitalize his squad.
