Premier League clubs track Tochukwu Nnadi ahead of transfer window

Several English clubs are keeping tabs on Marseille midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi as uncertainty continues to surround his future at the Ligue 1 club ahead of the summer transfer window, according to La Provence.

The Nigeria international endured a challenging debut season in France following his €6 million move from Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem, but a strong finish to the campaign has reportedly reignited interest from abroad.

Nnadi struggled for regular opportunities during much of the season at the Stade Vélodrome, spending long periods on the fringes of the first team. However, the 22-year-old capitalised on his chance when it arrived, starting Marseille’s final four league matches and producing a series of encouraging performances that highlighted the qualities which initially convinced the club to invest in him.

His resurgence did not go unnoticed. The midfielder’s improved form earned him a recall to the Nigerian national team setup after a period away from international contention, further boosting his profile ahead of a potentially pivotal summer.

According to reports in France, a number of English clubs have requested information regarding Nnadi’s situation, although no formal offers have been submitted at this stage. The interest is understood to be exploratory, with clubs assessing whether a move could become feasible in the coming months.

Marseille’s own situation may prove decisive.

The French club are reportedly evaluating several areas of their squad as part of a broader restructuring process, while financial considerations could influence transfer decisions during the window. Nnadi is among the players awaiting clarity over his role under the club’s next managerial appointment, with strategic decisions expected once a new head coach is in place.

Despite the speculation, Marseille remain in a strong negotiating position. Nnadi is under contract until 2030, meaning the Ligue 1 side are under no pressure to sanction a sale unless a significant offer arrives.

The midfielder remains one of Nigeria’s most promising young talents. Before moving to France, he built a reputation at Zulte Waregem as a composed and technically gifted central midfielder capable of operating both as a deep-lying playmaker and a box-to-box presence. His combination of physicality, ball progression and tactical intelligence has continued to attract attention from scouts across Europe.

With Premier League clubs increasingly targeting emerging African talent and younger players with resale value, Nnadi fits the profile many recruitment departments are seeking. His age, international pedigree and long-term contract status could make him one of the more intriguing names to watch as the transfer market gathers momentum.

For now, the midfielder’s immediate focus remains Marseille, but growing interest from England suggests his future could become a major talking point before the transfer window closes.
