Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has expressed his sentiments about a potential permanent stay at Galatasaray, allnigeriasoccer.com reports via Turkish journalist Adnan Aybaba.
The prolific striker, currently on loan with the Istanbul giants, has been a pivotal figure for the team, prompting speculation about his long-term future.
Osimhen’s arrival at Galatasaray followed an unsuccessful transfer window, during which rumored moves to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain failed to materialize. Despite the initial disappointment, the Super Eagles star has flourished in Turkey, igniting conversations about a permanent deal despite the financial challenges such a transfer might entail.

Speaking to Telegol, Aybaba shared insights from a recent conversation with Osimhen, facilitated by a translator. The journalist revealed that the player has ruled out a move to Beşiktaş, emphasizing his strong bond with Galatasaray.
“Okan Buruk [Galatasaray’s coach] approached him early in the season and said, ‘Stay here, let’s build a family. When Mauro Icardi returns, you’ll form a formidable partnership and achieve great things.’ Osimhen responded warmly, saying, ‘I came here on loan, but the camaraderie is exceptional—it feels like I’ve been in Istanbul for a decade,’” Aybaba recounted.
The 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner has quickly endeared himself to Galatasaray fans, making a case for the club to secure his services permanently. Whether the financial hurdles can be overcome remains to be seen, but for now, Osimhen appears firmly focused on delivering for the Turkish champions.
