Tolu Arokodare’s exceptional form at KRC Genk this season has not gone unnoticed, with speculation growing about potential interest from Premier League clubs, Voetbal 24 reports.
The Nigerian striker, who has been pivotal to Genk’s success under Thorsten Fink, is now firmly on the radar of top-flight teams across Europe.
Former Genk goalkeeper and current analyst Jacky Mathijssen has weighed in on the situation, confirming that Premier League scouts are likely monitoring Arokodare’s performances closely.
“I have no doubt that clubs in England are watching him,” Mathijssen stated. “He has the physicality, scoring ability, and presence that make him an ideal fit for the Premier League.”
A Stellar Season
Arokodare’s statistics this season speak for themselves. With 13 goals and 5 assists, the Nigerian has directly contributed to nearly half of Genk’s 40 league goals, establishing himself as one of the most effective forwards in the Belgian Pro League.
The 23-year-old’s transformation from last season, when injuries limited his impact, has been remarkable. Analyst Patrick Goots noted the stark difference, saying, “Tolu is in peak condition now. He’s a powerhouse, strong in duels, and almost impossible to knock off the ball. His development over the past year has been extraordinary.”
